I write and make music for a living. I’m very thankful for that. I also like to walk up hills and mountains, which is unfortunate because I don’t live near any. So, I try and go on as many adventures as I can, even if it’s only in my writing or my music or in my own head, and then come back and play with my kids, and talk with my sweet wife and drink wine with her.

More books are in the making; check back here or on my poorly-maintained socials for updates.

My music consists of songs I wrote for the high-energy, melodic pop-punk band known as Pain; you may have come across songs such as Futz Said Julie, Grudge, or a commercial we did for the show, Jabberjaw, over at the Cartoon Network (I’m delighted that people continue to enjoy those). After Pain and a brief-yet-lengthy pause while I studied Catholic theology and then taught it, Salvo was formed: a new kind of Pain. Recently I’ve retired from public performances, so now my songwriting goes to Dan Lord & His Goblin Orchestra. So does my composing, which is mostly centered on scoring for By the Downward Way, a project that is still on the development table but which would be an episodic show or a film, based on my novel. That’s a dream project of mine, which is still waiting for the right producer or show runner, the right financial pieces, and the right alignment of esoteric and completely uncontrollable intangible factors.

I have a Contact page, and I’m for hire, if you’re a person I like and respect, and if you have a good idea. I also welcome any correspondence from fans, who tend to be people I would happily call friends.

Cheers! -Dan
