The last time I recorded with Demondrae Thurman was with Salvo back in 2019, for the song, Off the Charts. Listen to it here and take note of Demondrae’s mellifluous euphonium performance that comes in for the final chorus. Such wonderful stuff.
The theme that drops tomorrow, The Downward Overture, is a different musical animal from Off the Charts, of course, but I think you’ll enjoy it. My hope is to create a whole suite of By the Downward Way-related themes, and that it will be the kind of music you put on when you’re solitarily contemplating life, or painting a picture, or making dinner, or building a chair, or what-have-you; I have my go-to albums for those times, and I’d love for the By the Downward Way album to have that status for someone out there.
