Hello all you wonderful people…it’s autumn, one of my three favorite seasons. I hope you’re all dropping like gold and red leaves onto YouTube to listen to the new Dan Lord & His Goblin Orchestra instrumental album, By the Downward Way. It has excellent autumn vibes: sometimes joyful, sometimes spooky. I’m quite happy with it. Yes, I know it doesn’t have songs on it that you can sing along to…that’s what Wild Goose Chase is for…
Despite my outright lies in my previous newsletter, it will NOT be available on vinyl at this time. I’m sorry. It will be available exclusively on CD, which I think is also a very cool medium. I hope you can set aside a little from your earnings to grab a copy. I should be able to open up the Shop for it by Thanksgiving.
Speaking of the Shop, I’ve added song art. I intend to create several more of these kinds of pieces, usually with a theme that is tied to one of the songs from Wild Goose Chase. Hence: song art. Have a look! The one below goes with Don’t Belong Here, which is already streaming…and if you have a favorite Pain or Salvo song I can make into song art, let me know!
And that is all. Keep your chins up out there! I’m seeing a lot of anger and cruelty…don’t get sucked into all that, please. God bless! -Dan
